The Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board for Montgomery County is issuing
Requests for Proposals for Second Chance Initiative

The Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board for Montgomery County (hereafter ADAMHS) is requesting proposals to support the Second Chance Initiative, a pilot project that focuses on assisting individuals with identifying potential substance abuse or mental health disorders that prevent them from obtaining and maintaining employment. Funding will be provided to screen individuals for risk level, teach prevention education curricula, collect relevant data to verify the program’s efficacy, and document project protocol for future replication.

Funding will only be provided for the direct delivery of services and will not supplant current funding.

Selected proposals will be awarded a twelve-month contract (January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2014) at the sole discretion of the ADAMHS Board and is dependent on the availability of funds.

OhioMHAS Announces Community Innovations Initiative

The Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services announced it will invest $1.5 million next year in projects that help link non-violent offenders with community-based behavioral healthcare services. The investments into the 12 collaborative projects in 24 counties is part of the Department's new Community Innovations Initiative, which kicked-off last week at the University of Findlay.
